Freedom In Christ “Grace for the Barren”
By: Clint McBroom
Series: Freedom In Christ
Galatians 4:21-31
In showing that the heart of the gospel is trusting in God's work for us in Jesus Christ, rather than relying on our own capabilities, Paul uses the Old Testament story of Sarah and Hagar to illustrate the call to rely on God's power and grace. The good news of Jesus Christ is especially for the barren, for those who see themselves as failures, because they are those whom God reaches out to first.

Sep 4, 2022Freedom in Christ “Blessed Assurance”By: Clint McBroomSeries: Freedom In ChristRomans 8:14-16 and Galatians 4:1-7The culmination of the gospel is that we become children of God and so have a new life of intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father. Not only did Jesus remove the curse of sin that we deserved, He also gave us the blessing that He deserved. Our new status removes the fear of missing fulfillment or losing approval that is at the root of much of our disobedience.

And in Jesus, God has made us his adopted children, and God's Spirit changes us so that obeying His law is what we desire to do.

Aug 14, 2022Freedom in Christ; Living In Line With The GospelBy: Clint McBroomSeries: Freedom In ChristGalatians 2:11-21In the account of Paul's confrontation with Peter, we see one instance of what it looks like to not live as if the gospel is true. One of the healthiest things that Jesus followers can do is to identify and expose ways in which we may confess the gospel with our words but deny it through our actions. Living in ways that align with the truth of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection is a powerful way of proclaiming that the gospel is true. .

"Every Grain of Sand" is a reflection on Dylan's experience of God's grace and presence over his life. When we have the eyes of faith, we can see God's hand in the seemingly mundane things of life, and recognize the truth that, as Jesus tells us, "every hair is numbered" and that God's providential hand is with us at every moment.
